The Annual Multi-Trip policy provides cover for any number of trips in a 12-month period, up to a maximum of 31, 45 or 60 days for each trip. We might be able to extend your trip length limit to up to 90 days. Please contact us for more details.

Please note: For Annual Multi Trip policies choose your cover to start today to protect you against cancellation prior to your trip date. Cover may not commence more than 31 days from today's date.

The Single Trip policy provides cover for one specific trip up to a maximum of 4 months. If you choose "Single Trip Higher Excess" policy, the excess will be increased to £200 per claim, per person, where appropriate. Please check the Policy Wording for more details.

All European Economic Area (EEA) countries and Switzerland including:

Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Channel Islands, Croatia, Cyprus (but not Northern Cyprus), Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and Ukraine.

Please note: Cover within the UK applies to pre-booked trips only and must require payment for at least one overnight stay in a commercial accommodation facility such as hotel, bed and breakfast, hostel etc.

Single Trip - cancellation cover is effective from the date shown on the Schedule of Insurance and terminates on commencement of the planned trip.

Annual Multi-Trip - cancellation cover is effective immediately a trip is booked or from the start date shown on the Schedule (whichever is the latest), and terminates on the commencement of each trip, or on the expiry of the Policy (whichever is the earlier).

All - all other covers commence when you leave your place of residence or business (whichever is the later), to commence the trip until the time of return to your place of residence or business (whichever is earlier) on completion of the trip.

Please note: Cover will not commence more than 24 hours prior to booked departure time or cease more than 24 hours after booked return home (other than Personal Money - see Policy Wording, Section 7).

Related Children: Children aged under 18 years old are covered free of charge when insured with adult family members on the same Annual Policy (adults can include parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers, cousins or guardians).

Couple: Includes spouse or permanent partner with whom you are living permanently at the same address.

Single Parent Family and Family: Up to 2 adult partners and accompanying related children.

Please Note: Children must always be travelling with an insured adult.

The Winter Sports Cover* is only available online up to the age of 69. If you are over 69 years old and would like to include this cover option, you must contact our Customer Services on 08450 555 222 who will then advise you how to proceed.

The European Cruise Cover* is defined as being all European countries including the following non-EU and EEA countries:

Balearics (Spain), Canary Islands (Spain), Croatia, Egypt, Faroe Islands (Denmark), Gibraltar, Israel, Lebanon, Madeira (Portugal), Morocco, Monaco, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey.

Coverage is provided subject to the majority of the cruise being within European territory and any visits to other non-EU destinations form the minority part of the cruise.

Please Note: This cover only applies for cruises taken with recognised & licensed cruise operators.

Selecting the optional Extended Annual cover will cover you for trips of up to 45 days for each trip, rather than the 31 days that are covered on the standard EHICPlus Annual policy.

Annual Multi Trip policies always begin on the day that you purchase your policy. This is because the cover includes loss of deposit and cancellation charges, so it is essential you already have the cover in place when you book and pay your deposit.

The Travel Disruption Cover* is an extension to the policy providing the following amendments to the insurance:

- Extended Cancellation or Curtailment;
- Extended Travel Delay;
- Extended Missed Departure;
- Extended Catastrophe.
